Betty Mahalik

Betty Mahalik is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) based in Las Vegas and a contributing author (along with leaders in the personal development industry, including Mark Victor Hansen, Les Brown, Byron Katie and Ken Blanchard) to the new book, “101 Great Ways To Improve Your Life.”


Loanne Parker

Loanne Parker was hired as secretary to the Advertising & Publicity Director of the International Hotel (now the Las Vegas Hilton) in 1969. RCA Record Tours were sponsoring Elvis Presley’s tours and she was hired as a traveling secretary, assigned to work with Colonel Tom Parker. She continued to work for RCA Records even after Elvis died, commuting from Las Vegas to their Hollywood office. In 1985 Colonel Parker and Loanne made Las Vegas their home, and were married in 1990.


Delisco

Delisco has performed around the world, after developing an international fan base from his television debut on the E! Network, where he won the title of “The Entertainer.” The show was taped at the Las Vegas Hilton.


Zowie Bowie

Chris Phillips (Zowie Bowie) and Marley Taylor met in Scottsdale, then combined talents and moved to Las Vegas. The duo features a variety of musical styles and approaches, and brings energy and enthusiasm from rock to the glory days of the Rat Pack.

Vicki Pettersson

Vicki Pettersson, a Las Vegas native, loved to write. She became a showgirl by night and a closet novelist by day. Five years later, she was discovered by HarperCollins, who will release her first book, “THE SCENT OF SHADOWS, The First Sign of the Zodiac” in March, and her second, “THE TASTE OF NIGHT, The Second Sign of the Zodiac” in April.


“Stuck in Reverse”

“Stuck in Reverse” is a local blue grass band that formed in August 1999. They have played in blue grass festivals, bookstores and railroad stations. Their CD is “Heading for that…White Pine County Line.”

The Scintas

The Scintas arrived from New York little more than six years ago and quickly became one of the top shows in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Tenors

The Las Vegas Tenors began in 2005 when Bill Fayne, who was musical director for Clint Holmes, was asked to put together a group of singers to perform a concert of eclectic music from various musical genres. He was joined by Bobby Black, Mark Giovi, and Teddy Davey.


Mark Wayman

Mark Wayman is called the Godfather of Las Vegas. He publishes The “Godfather’s Executive Brief,” a monthly collection of business and industry news designed for the executive on the move, is a regular contributor to VegasTalkRadio, and is a columnist for the “Las Vegas Business Press.”


Sally Dewhurst

Sally Dewhurst is event manager for Lake Las Vegas, where visitors during the St. Patrick’s Day holiday will enjoy live Irish concerts, craft stations for making commemorative trinkets, poetry readings and traditional Irish dancers. Joining her on the show to perform a number is Hal Savar, a guitarist from the group, Acoustic Soul.

Martin Nievera

Nievera’s stage presence and vocal range has made him a household name in the Philippines, and he has toured the world for more than 20 years. Since Nievera debuted his first album, Martin … Take One, he has created 32 albums, six in the last two years. Nievera now is based in Las Vegas and performs here.


Richard Abowitz

Richard Abowitz moved to Las Vegas in 1999 to take a job writing and editing at “Las Vegas Weekly,” where he remains contributing editor. Since October, 2005, Abowitz has been writing “The Movable Buffet” blog and a print column for The “Los Angeles Times.”


Tom Stephanos

Tom is a long-time resident who combined his two passions, Las Vegas and wine, to produce the city’s first souvenir wine. His spokes model, Jennifer Flood, represents the new label, Vegas Vino. The Las Vegas Hilton is the first resort to carry the new wine.
