Terry Collier

Terry Collier is executive race director for the Las Vegas Marathon. The Las Vegas Marathon debuted in 2005 to worldwide media attention with its unique blend of running Elvi, an “only in Vegas” Run Thru Wedding Chapel and an unprecedented opportunity to run the Las Vegas Strip. Collier is a Legacy Runner of the Los Angeles Marathon and was chosen to carry the Olympic Torch in 1996 for the Atlanta Summer Games.


Richard McGee

Richard McGee is associate conductor for the Las Vegas Philharmonic, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary season. McGee has been with the Las Vegas Philharmonic since its founding in 1998 and received his doctorate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. A full-time faculty member and chair of the Performing Arts Department at CCSN, he is also the Founding Artistic Director of the CCSN Performing Arts Center and the Nevada Symphonic Wind Ensemble.


Brent Spiner

Brent Spiner played the android Lieutenant Commander Data in Star Trek: The Next Generation, and was featured in the four ST: TNG motion pictures “Star Trek Generations,” “Star Trek: First Contact,” “Star Trek: Insurrection” and “Star Trek Nemesis.”


Tempest Storm

Burlesque star Tempest Storm has one of the longest careers in that field. Her professional debut was at the El Rey Theater in Oakland, California. She adopted the stage name Tempest Storm around 1950 and changed it legally in 1957. Storm was among the most famous burlesque performers of the 1950s and 1960s and still performs once or twice a year. She is currently working on her autobiography.

Larry G. Jones

Larry G. Jones is a Las Vegas singer/impressionist, whose new show, ”Superstar Voices in Concert’ features up to 75 voices including Neil Diamond, Patti LaBelle and seven presidents. He also includes numerous one-man duets including Sonny and Cher, Nat-Natalie Cole, Michael McDonald-Patti Labelle, and Willie Nelson-Julio Iglesias.


Sally Steele

Sally Steele is publisher of Vegas Rocks! Magazine, which covers the entire Vegas rock music and entertainment scene. Steele has been immersed in rock music and entertainment her entire life. Steele founded Vegas Rocks! Magazine in August 2004 and has since published more than consecutive monthly issues.


Robert Maheu

Robert Maheu, who died August 4, 2008, spent many years working as the alter ego of Howard Hughes. He was the man to go to when you wanted to speak or deal with Hughes and was in a pivotal position during the transition of Las Vegas from a small town to a major city. This is a rebroadcast of a “Lunchtime With Ira” interview with Maheu from July 17, 2006.


Chubby Checker

Chubby Checker is synonymous with the Twist, popularizing it with his 1960 song “The Twist”. In addition, his recording of “Let’s Twist Again (Like We Did Last Summer)” won him the 1961 Grammy Award as “the best rock ‘n’ roll single.” Checker introduced The Twist in July, 1960 on The Clay Cole Show televised live from Palisades Amusement Park.

Mark Gray

Mark Gray is the Las Vegas staff reporter for PEOPLE Magazine where he covers the ins-and-outs of the celebrity world Gray is originally from Salt Lake City, where he worked as a police reporter. After moving to Las Vegas Gray he worked in the public relations field for two years before joining PEOPLE. He has interviewed, among other celebrities, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, George Clooney, and Jay Z.


Janet Geary

Janet Geary is the new publisher of Nevada Magazine. She is a longtime Nevada resident, and brings 25 years of newspaper experience to her new role. Nevada Magazine has been telling the Silver State’s story for more than 70 years — in Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe, and beyond.


KIM DENMARK AND BRITTANY GUINANE

Kim and Brittany are showgirls in the Folies Bergere, the longest running production show in Las Vegas.


Zoe Thrall

Zoe Thrall is director of The Studio at The Palms in Las Vegas. Her 22 years in the recording industry includes studio and artist management, engineering, performance and touring credits. In addition to her directorship in SPARS, she is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, and the American Federation of Musicians. Thrall was the first woman president of a major recording facility in the U.S. when she joined Avatar Studios New York in 1996.


Tim Driver

Tim Driver is the founder of The AMPLIFY Music Festival, the four-day event that showcases bands from across the U.S. while providing education panels and other events revolving around the growing music industry.
