Arthur Klein

Documentary filmmaker Arthur Klein began his career in New York City in the late 1970s, then moved to Hollywood and worked on television shows, films, and media projects. He earned four Emmys during that time. Reacting to the immediate impact of September 11, he took his first yoga class, then spent six years traveling around the world talking to yogis and yoginis, trying to understand what yoga is and how it helps so many people find inner peace and happiness. The result is his new documentary,”Y Yoga.”


Bob Wiseman

Bob Wiseman is an award-winning chili cook and author of three cookbooks. He also is a lifetime member of the International Chili Society and has competed in six ICS World Championship. Bob, who settled in Las Vegas in 1954, also owns an Internet chili powder and spice company, which is one of the main suppliers of high quality products to competition chili teams, barbecue teams and serious chili aficionados.


Kenneth Lowman

Kenneth Lowman is the broker/owner of Luxury Homes of Las Vegas. He has nineteen years of experience in real estate, beginning in Southern California in 1990. In 1995, Ken moved to Las Vegas and focused his business on higher priced luxury homes. After four years as one of Las Vegas’ top agents, he opened his own company in 1999.


Grant Griffin

Grant Griffin, considered one of the finest lyric baritones in the world and whose career spans 40 years of show business, is executive producer of the 5th Annual Meatball Awards. The popular event recognizes those performers and entertainers who serve as the backbone to the entertainment industry.

Chef Emeril Lagasse

Chef Emeril Lagasse, inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame, is the chef-proprietor of 10 restaurants in New Orleans, Las Vegas, Orlando, Miami, and Gulfport, Miss. In the 90’s he became a force in the New Orleans restaurant scene with three restaurants in the city, Emeril’s, NOLA and Emeril’s Delmonico. In 1995, Emeril brought his “New New Orleans” cooking to Las Vegas and opened Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House, followed that up in 1999 with Delmonico Steakhouse, and in January 2008, he launched his third Las Vegas offering, Table 10.


Don King

Don King, inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame, has presented more than 500 world championship fights, promoting luminary prizefighters including Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson, “Sugar” Ray Leonard, Evander Holyfield and Roberto Duran. King’s seminal boxing events in Las Vegas and Atlantic City–always presented in partnership with the gaming industry–were key contributors that helped these cities become two of the most visited resort destinations in the world. He has promoted or co-promoted 11 of the 15 highest-grossing live gates in history of the state of Nevada


Robert “Bob” Arum

Robert “Bob” Arum, inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame, promoted the first fight he ever attended, Muhammad Ali’s title bout with George Chuvalo in March, 1966. He eventually promoted 25 bouts for Ali. Arum has participated in most of the top-grossing fights in boxing history and changed the landscape of boxing in Las Vegas through his promotion of the first major bout to be held in a casino venue – Ali/Spinks I at the Las Vegas Hilton in February 1978.


Jin Jin Reeves

Jin Jin Reeves is a singer, dancer, and actress who currently headlines in “Hitzville: The Show.” She grew up in Detroit, Michigan during a time when the city was at an artistic peak. She attended the Julliard School of Performing Arts which led to a Diana Washington scholarship and a host of performance opportunities, including her recent album, Living Proof.


Stephen Wesley

Singer/songwriter, Stephen Wesley found his career, and his calling, after serving time in prison for eight years for a crime he didn’t commit. It was a chance encounter with a prison chaplain that started Stephen down a musical path he says turned his life around.


Laraine Russo Harper

Laraine Russo Harper, author of “Legal Tender, True Tales of a Brothel Madam,” is a veteran of the casino industry who had little knowledge of the legal sex trade when she was hired to run a brothel. She served for six years as the madam at a well-known brothel in Pahrump, Nevada.


Roy “Big Country” Nelson

Roy “Big Country” Nelson is a Las Vegas native that has helped train some of the top fighters in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) world, and now makes his home with Ken Shamrock’s legendary fight camp, the Lion’s Den. He is the three time IFL Heavyweight Champion of the World.

Steve Wyrick

Magic has been a lifelong passion for Steve Wyrick. As a child growing up in Texas, he often practiced magic and the art of illusion for his friends. His passion eventually led him west to Las Vegas. Eleven years ago, he became the youngest Las Vegas headliner ever, when his show debuted in downtown Las Vegas. Now he headlines his own show, “Real Magic,” in the multi-million dollar Steve Wyrick Entertainment Complex on the Las Vegas Strip.


Tom Gorman

Tom Gorman joined the LA Times out of college in 1973 and worked there for the next 32 years. He moved to Las Vegas, where he was based from 2000 to 2003 as a national correspondent covering the Southwest. He had returned to California as Times metro editor when he was recruited in 2005 to join the Las Vegas Sun as it was being reinvented as a morning boutique newspaper. For the first six months, Tom was a three-times-a-week columnist, then became assistant managing editor, his current position.

Jeff McBride

Magician Jeff McBride combines his favorite passions and theatrical talents of magic, martial arts, mime and Kabuki theatre and brings an edgy, interactive mix his show-assisted by fellow magician Jordan Wright and dancer Melanie Kramer. McBride first came to Las Vegas as an opening act for Diana Ross at Caesars Palace more than 20 years ago and he now returns bringing his full evening show to Las Vegas for the first time.

Somer Hollingsworth is president and CEO of the Nevada Development Authority (NDA). As the head of NDA for the past 11 years, he has played a critical role in the diversification of the economy through the growth of important industries new to Southern Nevada. Last fiscal year, NDA attracted 61 new companies, spurred 4 corporate expansions and helped create 3,182 jobs with an economic impact of $400 million. The average salary for those jobs was more than $48,000.


Charles Tureaud

Charles Tureaud owns and operates Las Vegas based Culturally Diverse Advertising (CDA) Media Relations & Events that produces the annual CultureFest. The third annual CultureFest 2008 event will bring together various ethnic nationalities including African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Pacific-Islanders and more.


Kimberly Tureaud

Kimberly Tureaud is a native of Las Vegas who currently owns and operates, along with her husband Charles, a local public relations and events firm. She is a 1984 Spelman College journalism graduate and hosts a 19-year old local weekly business radio show called “Enterprising People.” Tureau and her husband also publish The Historic Black Entertainment Calendars.


Charlie Peters

Charlie Peters is CWO (Chief Wine Officer) of Grape Expectations Nevada School of Winemaking. He is has received numerous local and national awards for his professional and innovative contributions to the food and beverage industry. Charlie’s passion for wine production has been finely tuned by award winning, Master Winemaker, Mr. Louis Sodano.
